E to the Power of 6 - at TOP gallery in Berlin, was the title of an installation consisting of a model tram line that curved through a collection of garbage bags filled with household waste, mostly packaging in plastic and paper.
The garbage was processed by masking with small squared stickers and spraypainted so they looked like houses and placed to form a futuristic urban environment.
The city could be seen from the inside through a camera, mounted in the tram.
The image from the camera was transmitted wirelessly to a computer and then projected onto a wall of the gallery. The work could also be viewed via a streaming link on the Internet.
The installation had a rubbish exterior which, more closely, proposed an optimistic belief in a positive development in the future based on existing renewable energy and new technology. Playful and innocent but relatively realistic anyway.
