ASTROLAB at Alby Square is an artistic decoration but also a monumental astronomical instrument.
It was inaugurated in 1999 after an extensive art project at all three schools in Alby where all children in grades 4-9 painted a ceramic plate that now covers the surfaces of the monument. The motifs are taken from school subjects that each class studied that year, history, geography, astronomy and mathematics. Worked as an artist, project manager and educator.
